    Don’t Panic!

Check that all the leads on the inside of the computer are correct…

Sometimes this sort of thing can happen when a harddrive, RAM stick, Fan (particularly the one for the processor) come loose…

Obviously if you’re not confident doing this kind of thing, ask someone who is.

Here is a listing of ALL BIOS Error Codes

If it is a single, long, continuous beep, it is most likely one of the problems listed.
More than likely, it is a Power Supply problem.

Check all leads, remove and replace the RAM (RAM could be improperly seated)

The beep, or beeps, are a code that is the key to solving the problem. The beep code will be a series of long beeps, short beeps, or a combination of both in a specific order that indicate what the problem with your system is. Here’s a couple of links to beep code charts.

    Sounds like a RAM problem.

If your beep sound stays for long then tighten your RAM and yoru problem will be solved, if problems continue then you have to replace RAM
