Can i connect a Pc at home via internet which is not connected thru internet?

I ve a Pc in my home. I need to use my system when i’m in my office. I have used team viewer within my LAN. Can i use the same to connect it via internet too? But i’ve seen that team viewer can be used within LAN only.

Can i connect it through Remote desktop connection? Is it also for LAN only?

Then how can one use a Pc at home via internet?

    there is much options in team viewer and remote desktop to connet remoely.
