No the amount apps should not reduce battery life, unless of course you are using an app that would in turn use more battery life. For example an app that plays music would use more battery life than an app that would display pictures.

Not at all, the great thing about Android is that after a program is not being used Android automatically shuts it down. The icon still shows up, however the program itself is not runnning. When people use task killer you are actually wasting battery life because Task killer spends more energy closing applications and looking for applications to close.

Nobody can consume you better life, other than you yourself.

What I mean is until and unless you are using an app and its running the battery would be consumed.
And as soon as you closes an app or for that matter don’t fails to close an app, Android automatically closes that app. Don’t worry if its icon still appears, but your battery is no longer in use.

A large collection of android apps will only consume your memory space and has nothing to do with your cell’s battery life.
