Make sure the firewall on the machines that can not be seen are set to allow exceptions for file and print sharing (Firewall icon in control panel.)

Also, make sure the “workgroup” names are the same on all the machines. Vista doesn’t brows “other workgroups” other than the one it belongs to.

You can always map a drive manually…
Say 1 machine has a share called “MyStuff” and it’s IP address is 192.168.1 101 you could tell vista to “Map Network Drive” and put in \192.168.1.101MyStuff for the location to map to, and you would get a mapping, even though you can’t browse to the computer.

    Here it is:
On MyComputer (on the desktop) right click. Then go down to the properties menu.item and select it, Now a tab dialog comes up. Select Computer Name Tabs and select the Change Button (to change the network or name) Now you are in a dialog that allows you to select the name of the workgroup. If you don’t know the name go to a computer that’s already in the work groups and do the same stuff above to see the workgroup name.
