Is there a way to connect wifi through a dsi and a computer?

Lately, i have been trying to get wifi on my dsi by connecting it to my computer. I have created a wifi channel (or whatever its called) from my computer, and my dsi picks up to it, it just cannot receive my computers IP address. Is there a way to get this to work? Or am I better off buying a USB wifi connector?

Your computer probably has a high firewall security because most firewalls block incoming signals trying to use it. i don’t have a dsi but i do have a regular ds lite. now i cant use wifi anymore because i have security on it now, but dsi can use wifi with passwords to get into he network. honestly i think you should buy a wifi adapter it would be so much easier.
