What do I need to convert my standard pc into a wireless unit?

My PC is in the bedroom and my wireless router is downstairs. How can I convert my PC so that it will receive signals from the router?

You need a wireless card (USB, or PCI) and the driver, then you will be given the wireless function.
Then you can connect to wireless.

If it’s a desktop you can use a pic card or a usb unit.
If it’s a laptop you can use a PCMCIA , PC card, or a usb unit.
All will do the job but the usb versions generally have the poorest performance. but it’s your call.
