What easy and free method do you suggest for remotely connecting to a home PC?

I need to be able to access my home PC from work using free and relatively easy methods. Here are the restrictions:

1) Work PC is Windows XP, home PC is Windows Vista, the solution must work cross-platform.
2) The home PC will have no one at it. If the program is set up to ask permission from the PC for a connection then it will not work because no one will be there to accept.
3) Must be free.

Thanks in advance!

    logmein.com (I think)

Has a free version. You have to install it on your home computer, with password. Then the program justs runs behind the sene.

Then you go to logmein.com (Through your webbrowser) login. Select the computer you want to connect to and log into that computer. its all webbased. its not as good if you were directly connected but you can open and close programs. You better have good internet on both sides.

    1. Make sure your company doesn’t block logmein.com
    2. I’m pretty sure it works with vista now.

Maybe filezilla will cater to your needs – it’s a free FTP server and client. Set the server up in your home, and you can copy files from/to your remote station anytime….
