What kind of DVD should I use to burn videos in so that I can watch movies in a DVD player?

There are many types of DVDs out there like DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW. What are the differences among them? What DVD type should I use so that I can burn videos into them so that I can play them (the burned DVD) in DVD players like the ones in cars or TV sets. Thanks for any help.

Any of them. It’s not the disk that matters; it’s the type of movie file you’re going to put onto the cd that matters.

DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW, all are right writeable dvd disc, DVD-R and DVD+R disc only write once, DVD-RW and DVD+RW are rewritable dvd disc, can be erased or formated, then burn again. + and – come from different organizations, both are standard dvd definition.

If you want to play the burned DVD in DVD players, don’t care the types of dvd disc, you just need to use a right software to convert and burn your videos into a standard video DVD that can be played well in dvd players like the real dvd in the store, if you don’t know what software is right, you can try RZ DVD Creator, it can convert any videos to standard video DVD and burn to any dvd disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc.), easy to use, run RZ DVD Creator, insert a dvd disc into your computer dvd burner drive, then directly drag&drop your videos into the software, at last press “START” button, you will get a standard video DVD from your videos, and you can play the burned video DVD well in dvd players like the real dvd in the store. You can yahoo or google search RZ DVD Creator and download it, easy to use, hope it can help you.
