Uninstall IE7 and go back to IE6 – there are too many problems with the new explorer. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and click on the Show updates box at the top. After everything loads, scroll down till you find Internet Explorer 7. Highlight it and click on Remove on the right side. After it is uninstalled, close Control Panel and restart your computer for the changes to take effect. You’ll be back to IE6.

I am having the same problem. The thing is if I delete it, my automatic updates will just keep sending it to me to download. But I agree it slows everything down. It seems to have stopped the “hanging up” of programs but now everything is slow. I had Beta and deleted it. Hoped the done version would be better but maybe not.

Use Firefox or Opera instead, they are much safer. http://www.basicspywaretips.com/
