Will downloading torrents slow down my computer?

I have 2 internal hard drives in my computer. 1 has the operating system (Vista 64-bit) and some other programs (Word, Firefox, etc). The other internal hard drive has nothing on it, but I’m planning on using it completely for storing torrents and the like. If I do this though, will my computer slow down in general, like when I use regular programs and such?

You can use torrents as you like – they will not slow down your pc – only thing is once you download a torrent file the same will be uploaded to other torrent users and therefore the upload speed will be reduced in your pc

No torrents will not slow down your compuet. But, as you continue to download anythig onto your HDD, fragmentation builds and that may be the cause of slows.

To keep your computer fast, do some maintenance:
    1) Defrag- try Diskeeper it’s a great auto defragger. Just install and you never have to worry about it again. Free 30-day trailware at http://www.diskeeper.com
    2) Registry Cleaner-Your registry holds all the information regarding updates, installs, uninstalls etc. so this needs to be cleaned. This will optimize and remove redundant or unwanted items.
    3) Delete any unused or unnecessary programs and files. These may be taking up space, memory and resources, thus slowing your computer. Also delete your cashe/ temp files, empty your recycle bin, clear your internet browsing history, etc.

John L is a FUCKING DOUCHE BAGGET.

DO NOT USE REGISTRY CLEANERS. Go to youtube and search clean my registry tutorial.

DO NOT USE DISKEEPER. Look in start, programs, accessories, disk fragmenter.

Download Hijackthis, and go to techspot. Post your hijackthis log and they will help your sorry ass.

Also, try cleaning the dust outta ur computer… That’s a big problem for most ppl. Usually tho, its spyware, and most ppl are too stupid to realize they’ve got a fuckload of it.
