How much does wifi cost to get it? and will it work for internet on my computer and what is the company cold?

i live in oklahoma and want wifi for my ipod touch and wii i just bought today? how much will it cost and what company is the cheapest?

    depends on who is near you. we just barely got internet from embarq, we are right on the city line, and i think its something like 30 a month + the cost of a router and proper cables

    i pay 50 dollars a month but i get Unlimited access i have a modem and and wireless router you can get the modem for the company you choose and buy the wire router for about $80.00 im with telstra

    You can add wifi to your home network by adding a wireless router (actually a wireless access point and a router built together). A lot of companies make them.

    I am not sure whether you mean can you get wifi EVERYWHERE, or just inside your house.

    Wifi is not really meant as a public access method as you will have need a transceiver every couple hundred feet (i.e. every street corner). All of those have to be linked to the Internet somehow.

    Some cities, such as Menlo Park, CA, have this thanks to Google (as their HQ is there). However, most cities do NOT have public wifi available, not even for a price, as there’s no infrastructure for it.

    As for your own Wifi, you pay for your own Internet access. You just added wifi to it so you form your own wireless network.
