Why did my computer slow down when i installed Starcraft 2?

I installed Starcraft 2 onto my desktop and it works fine. The only thing i noticed was that it uses almost 90% of my CPU when running and it drastically slowed down my computer even when closed….Any Help anyone?

Its because you installed it on your desktop, should’ve installed in programs like usual because when there are to many files on your desktop your computer slows so a whole game there would make it terribly slow.

It probably used up most of your space.

your computer probably didnt have enough hard drive space to run it. This slows the computer down for some reason :/

You might of ran out of room in your cpu and have a little bit of room left. And running some type of things while playing starcraft may slow the computer down while playing. Before i got banned on wow my cpu used to freeze and slow down when I played wow with imvu running together and sometimes with yahoo messenger. Hope this helps a little.

    Hi,

Here is what you need to do to boost the computer performance:

    1. Defrag all the drives on your computer
    2. Clean-up the registry and fix errors using RegInOut
    3. Defrag the registry using RegInOut

    6. Uninstall the programs that you do not use
    7. Set-up your system for best performance; rather than best appearance
    8. Install additional memory (RAM)

Another reason of slowing down your computer is virus infection. Often, viruses do a lot of processes without your knowledge in the background, and that’s why, your system gets slowed. So, installing a good antivirus software and updating it regularly will be a best choice. I will suggest Free Avast of Kaspersky Pure.
